Alex was born a happy healthy baby in 2003 and died in Alder Hay Childrens Hospital just two weeks after his second birthday in 2005 from HIB meningitis. His family since then have been raising funds for the trust and have their own tribute fund. I am running the marathon for the 2nd time this year and have decided to raise money towards Alex's fund as this tragedy hit the community as a whole back in 2005 and myself personally with a little girl the same age could only imagine what the family went through at the time. This is just a little something to remember Alex and to help fight meningitis.
